Dr. Andrew El Alam earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the Lebanese American University, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at LAUMCRH He then pursued advanced training at the University Hospital La Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, within the Department of Obesity and Nutrition. 

In addition to his subspecialty in obesity, Dr. El Alam holds a Diploma in Obesity Medicine, reinforcing his commitment to evidence-based, multidisciplinary approaches for weight management. He played a key role in the Semaglutide ATU (Autorisation Temporaire d’Utilisation), the largest expanded access program in France, which was instrumental in supporting the authorization of semaglutide for non-diabetic patients with obesity.

Dr. El Alam has contributed to research on metabolic disorders, obesity, and bariatric surgery, and integrates this scientific knowledge into patient-centered care. He is an author in the French journal Diabète et Obésité and has published several articles on obesity and metabolism in internationally recognized journals.

By combining clinical expertise, academic research, and innovative therapies, Dr. El Alam advances the management of complex endocrine and metabolic diseases, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for individuals living with obesity.
